COVID-19 Updates

On Monday, May 11, 2020, the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board (the government body that regulates the practice of dentistry in our state) unanimously approved a statement that says “our citizens need unrestricted access to dental services for public health and safety using training, education, experience, and expertise to determine the best course of care. Dentistry has always followed the highest level of infection control.” In accordance with guidance from our state government and regulators, we are beginning a phased re-opening of routine dental care in our office. Re-Opening Letter
Here is a summary of things we are doing to ensure the safest environment for your families:
• Limiting the number of people in the office at any given time by restricting visitors to only children with an appointment and one guardian. Siblings without appointments and second adults will be asked to remain at home
• All visitors will be asked to wear facial coverings/masks in the office
• Screening questions and temperature checks for all visitors and staff prior to entering the office
• Our waiting area has been expanded to allow for 6-ft of social distancing between families
• Mandatory hand washing stations prior to entering the treatment area for all visitors
• Common area toys, magazines, and other items will be removed for the foreseeable future
• High contact areas will be sanitized on a high frequency basis and treatment rooms will be cleaned to the strict infection control standards set by the CDC after each visit
• Masks, gowns, eye protection, gloves and other personal protective equipment will be worn consistent with guidelines published by the CDC

As always, your family’s health and safety are our top priority. If you have any questions, please give our office a call. We ask for your patience as we do our best to reschedule all of our cancelled appointments, continue to treat those patients in acute pain, and give each of your children the time and attention they deserve.

Stay safe and healthy!
